UPstate Training makes every effort to keep you abreast of New York State changes and to assure that the oral and written material presented represents the current state law for each subject. Due to constant real estate industry changes, UPstate Training and their instructors cannot be held liable for errors which may occur in the teachings of the education courses.
Registration Fees
Our Registration Fee is competitive for classroom delivery courses. Our Early Bird Fee (registration and payment received 5 days prior to course start date) recognizes the student that takes advantage of our early registration and offers a discount. In order to receive that Early Bird Registration Fee, the student must pay for the course at the time of registration. If payment is not received at time of registration and/or is paid the day of class, the student will be charged the full registration fee.
Registration Cancellation
You have the right to cancel your registration for any reason seven (7) calendar days or more prior to the course start date for a full refund. If a written request is received less than seven (7) days, a refund less $25 for Continuing Education Courses and $75 for Qualifying Courses for processing fee will be granted. No refunds will be granted after the course has started. If you drop out (for any reason) no refund will be granted but your may apply that course credit to the next scheduled course.
Course Attendance
Each course is mandated by New York State and has certain hour requirements. If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be allowed to take the final exam for that course, if applicable nor will you receive your certificate of completion for that course. A course schedule is given out on the first day of each course. You must be on time and you will be required to sign in and sign out on each scheduled day.
Classroom Etiquette
Any device that may be disruptive to the class is prohibited in the classroom. i.e. cell phones, personal computers, pagers, etc. Should you have an emergency situation arise, please discuss this with the instructor prior to start of class to make arrangements or exceptions.
Rescheduling of Class
In the event that the class has to be cancelled, i.e. inclement weather, illness of instructor, etc, please verify that we have your current contact information on file. When a state-of-emergency is declared, class will be cancelled. A make-up date will be scheduled and you will be notified.
Course Examinations
A course exam will be administered on the last day of class, if applicable. The passing score is 70% or higher. i.e. If the exam is made up of 100 multiple choice questions, you must answer 70 of them correctly to pass the exam. Exams will be graded as students finish and students may wait, quietly, for their grade. You must pass the final exam to receive your certificate for that course. If you fail the first exam, you may schedule a second exam no sooner than the following day. Should you fail both exams, you must re-register and repeat the course from the beginning before taking the final exam again. A discounted re-enrollment fee will be charged.
Certificate of Completion
Upon completing a course and passing a final exam, if applicable, you will receive a Certificate of Completion with our school seal. For Continuing Education Certificates - please keep these for your records. These may be requested by NYS at any time. For Qualifying Course certificates, the original certificates will be required by NYS when you apply for your license. Please keep a copy of these for your records. In the event the original certificate with school seal is lost, a duplicate certificate may be obtained for a $20 administrative fee.
Financial Aid
No financial aid is available for any courses offered by UPstate Training at this time.

Our UPstate Training facility at Harry L. Drive has varied office hours depending on the course schedule for our instructors.
